Larger than our other cashmere baby shawls, this would look beautiful draped around a newborn, or can be doubled up for extra warmth as a super-soft blanket in a Moses basket.

Traditional lace knitters in Nottingham, the 'City of Lace', have been making shawls like these, using traditional methods and patterns, for babies of celebrities and royalty alike for generations.

All materials are ethically and sustainably sourced.

Use & Care

Ready to wear: as part of the traditional hand-finishing process, these shawls are washed using gentle products suitable for sensitive skin and are therefore ready for immediate use.

Hand wash with a wool-approved detergent like  or pure soap flakes. Allow to dry naturally away from direct heat.

Due to the nature of our traditionally hand-finished baby shawls, knitted as they are using finest cashmere yarn, please hand-wash them in water up to 30°C. 

Dry flat, away from direct sunlight and heat and never tumble-dry. 

Note that the scalloped edges will naturally relax after washing. This is normal and does not deter from the quality of the product.

For a perfect finish - for those with some meditative time on their hands - gently pin out the scalloped edges, cover the shawl with a cloth and press with a cool iron.
